So, what new skill have you mastered recently ? What are you proud of ?

I have come to realise that I prefer embroidering in winter, somehow, and I feel like I have progressed and make neater stitches.
Sewing wise I am in the process of atempting a GOOD fit, not just an ok one, and it's... in progress. I guess the progress consist of having higher standards and not being afraid of multiple mock-ups. Let's see how much more patience I can gather before deciding it's good enough.

I cleaned out the lint from inside my sewing machine and oiled it for the first time since getting it…. like 5 years ago. Heh. Suddenly all those noises I kept complaining about went away, who would have thought! For real though it was much easier than I expected and it’s running so quiet and smooth now.

I made my first trousers block pattern a few days ago, and it went quite well on the first try. I'll make a jeans pattern next, and port it to Freesewing when I have the energy

I am currently doing pants too, it's quite a challenge !
Do tell us about the jeans, I am curius about it.
