What's up with -5 downvotes? I don't see anything particularly bad in the article.

I want my browser to just display web pages. Thank you.

This reads like a direct shot at arc browser, no complaints.

There are currently more than 5800 AI and LLM out there. In Vivaldi anyone is free to add easily with a click those of their choice in their search engine list, as bookmark, in the web panel, as extension or even as script. That all browsers now include AI as a function is more due to commercial hype than real utility (privacy concerns apart). If I want to use an AI, I prefer to use one that really works for me and adjusts to my needs, instead of already having a built-in ChatGPT or similar by default. In Vivaldi I have this possibility to choose, the main feature of this browser, in the others I have to swallow what they offer, whether it works for me or not.

A very good article.

So machine learning is supposed to detect lies and false information written by large language models?

So computer fighting computers?

Seems like an absolute waste of time and resources... ...which means it will make a LOT of money if it is successful.

I think the article just says they aren't putting LLMs in Vivaldi. Not really a story
