Yep. I’ll be uploading it to a few sites tonight or tomorrow. Just need to make a few minor adjustments.

Excellent, I'd love to try printing this as well! Very nice version of the original!

I like it but the time is wrong

[–] stembolts 5 points 9 months ago

No sorry, I checked the time. And just to be safe I checked it twelve hours later and it was right both times.

Does anybody really know what time it is?

Picture is nice, more details are better!

Growing up, my family had a Welby mantel clock, and I wanted to create a replica of it. I had mostly completed the design when I discovered that someone had actually already made one. So I started over with an original design inspired by the Welby but also incorporating elements of Weimar clocks. The design is parametric, so I can easily alter the shape if I want.

Printed on a Bambu P1S, 0.2mm layer height. Designed to not need any supports. Printed with what I had on hand - the outer shell is Hatchbox wood PLA, the face is Sunlu black PLA+, and the “brass” inlay, hands, and feet are eSun gold silk PLA.

I threw in a cheap clock movement from the craft store, and voila!

Nice! Thanks for the details!

I just edited the post with download links. It needs a 250x250 build plate. I’m working on a smaller version, but it’s gonna take some time.
