Because they are both freakingly good actors. They make it sound natural to communicate both the intimacy of familial relationship and the distance from a palace existence where you are constantly being watched by servants and also illustrate the harsh inclemency of the desert. But it's not much better: “Holy war spreading across the universe like unquenchable fire.” and “Fanatical legions worshiping at the shrine of my father's skull. A war in my name. Everyone shouting my name!” just roll out of the tongue but are not exactly phrases to be casually uttered on a lazy Saturday evening.
