Let's be real, we're watching both of them and then Card Captor Sakura.
CCS has some all-time banger OPs/EDs and the outfits are always on point. Criminal that they replaced "Catch You, Catch Me" with that godawful dub song in the States (presumably because it was "too girly"). I'm not even against dub original songs—Pokémon ones and the OG Yu-Gi-Oh! one slap, Digimon S1 is also pretty solid—but the Cardcaptors one is so lame that not even nostalgia can save it for me.
Yeah, they were doing some weird shit with the version of Card Captor Sakura that we ended up with on TV in North America. Definitely playing up the "there's a boy in the main cast!" angle. Most other guys I knew were still watching stuff like Sailor Moon, though.
