Data Hoarder

We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.

Hi, i have an HDD with almost 1 tb data. I use the software "everything" to create indexes of all the files and search quickly for specific reports, books, papers and spreadsheets i might need, everyday. My company has disabled last week usb and external drives. Im looking for a cloud Solution that can replace my previous way of looking for files. What do you recommend? Nas or cloud? Thanks

Store them internally or even better ask your IT? If they don't like USB they won't like more some kind of public cloud or your NAS.
