San Diego State not part of Big 12 expansion plans: Yeah, the PAC dusfunction forced their hand and it all blows over if they get an invite somewhere in the near future, but just in general, WTF are y'all doing out there, west coast bros?

Northwestern to reconsider Fitzgerald penalty amid hazing probe: How to Destroy a Legacy in Three Days, a seminar hosted by Pat Fitzgerald.

Big 12 predicted order of finish for 2023: Texas back atop...: The fact that by all rights Texas should be back always makes it that much more hilarious when they aren't.

Six pressing questions facing the Big 12 ahead of media days: Read those, but here are the REAL pressing questions. One, what's the over/under on the season's combined number of holding or pass interference calls that will go OU/UT's way versus the H8+4? Two, will Chandler Morris be shattered into a thousand purple pieces some time in the first four weeks? Three, will Baylor or BYU claim the "Why do you make sure to take two [adherents of a certain religion] fishing" joke? Four, will WVU stop whining about how far they are from the rest of the conference now that BYU and UCF have similar situations? Five, will Kansas win the conference? Six, WTF is an LIU? Answers: 2.5; yes; Baylor but please make a jon-boat rivalry statue; never(!); maybe, and that is probably a sign of the apocalypse; Baylor's way to make sure they have a laughable non-con even with Utah on it.

Can Cal, Justin Wilcox recapture the good times as CFB continues to change?: If a headline poses a question, the answer is almost always "no." (paywall)

Georgia freshman LB cited for going 88 in 55 mph zone: This is a very specific thing for a coach to be unable to control. It's weird. Also, fuck Georgia.

I hope in the end this all works out for SDSU and then end up in the PacXX.

My interests mostly lie in hoping that, being now excluded from a conference with any football bluebloods, TCU isn't pushed any farther down the pecking order. Easiest path to that for now is for the coast conferences to crumble, but I take no joy in it.

College football is really the weirdest damn sport.

Here's a hot take. The ACC and B1G should merge and give the western portions back to the pac/big12 and the southern members to us. We give big 12 back missou and friends. Then you have a western, northern, southern and central mega conference. I dont wanna do the math but you should be close to that 24(I think?) number thrown around that supposedly sec/b1g are aiming around

There’s a lot of shit they should do. What actually happens will be a heady blend of greed and the path of least resistance.

I mean at some point I feel like kirby needs to straight up kick someone off the team and keep them off for this. We already saw what can come from this, and as much as I agree fuck Georgia I do want those kids to stay safe.

Yeah, it seems like there’s as much Jimmy Johnson as Nick Saban there in Athens these days. Teens and twenty-somethings do dumb shit even without the entitlement of being part of an almost worshipped program. I was even sympathetic when the fatal accident happened, but we’re not hearing about the issue with other teams, when you’d think somebody would be desperate to dig up comparable problems elsewhere. They just don’t seem to be taking it seriously, despite the dead friends, terrible optics, and presumably simple extension of team discipline.

Like I said, it’s almost more weird than anything.
