The list contains addons that were last updated 3-4 years ago.

3 years ago (Feb 8, 2021): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/dark-background-light-text/

4 years ago (Mar 26, 2020): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/redirector/

uMatrix has been archived since 2021.

How are developers going to update them for mobile when they arent even maintined for desktop?

They don't need to be updated to make good test subjects. From the post:

They were compiled because they possess a combination of Android API compatibility and relative popularity on Firefox desktop.

This seems awesome and all, but I can't install any of the add-on on my Firefox Beta. The add-on site says I need a newer version of Firefox.

Same. Ive got ff 118 and tried to install 'i dont care about cookies' and get that message.

You need 119 beta or 120 nightly

IPvFoo (my extension) is still useless on Android.
The call to chrome.permissions.request({origins: [ALL_URLS]}); doesn't do anything.

I'll try asking on the new forum.

Thank for sharing OP, I just installed Firefox Nightly and it worked, although is not very intuitive.

(I installed Browsec)

jShelter does work on Firefox Android, so hopefully they add it.

I tried it with Smart Cookie Web Preview and it was fine

Iinteresting. Does that browser satisfy your needs or did you just use it for testing? Itseems severely outdated.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

It is irregularly maintained, so I only use it for testing, except for the occasions when it is current.

I really like that you can add any extension, it may not work, but you can try. The bottom nav and toolbar (optional) are great. Pull out tabs, etc. I love the features it has.

In my perfect world, Mull my usual browser, and SCWP would be integrated.

It seems to be a side project for the developer, they also do a webview (smart cookie web) with a lot of nice features and customization.

And they were running their own Searx instance.

They seem to like trying out new features, for instance, they were the first browser I saw that had an 'Amp to HTML' to de-amp links.

So not my daily driver, but nice to play with.

Should also add LocalCDN.
