All things green, outdoors, and nature-y. Whether it's animals in their natural habitat, hiking trails and mountains, or planting a little garden for yourself (and everything in between), you can talk about it here.

See also our Environment community, which is focused on weather, climate, climate change, and stuff like that.

This plant is at my work, no clue what kind it is, but it used to be so pretty and vibrant but now it's brittle and dying.

What is i5 called and what are the beat conditions for it?

I'm not sure if there's a picture to this or not since my phone hasn't been loading right. If there is not, there's not really enough information to help you right now. If there is, hopefully someone can help you.

Things that are good to know, how wet is the soil, how much sunlight is it getting, what has changed recently if anything, does the pot have drainage holes, and what kind of soil is it currently in?

I don’t think your picture was included in the post, but my guess would be over/under watering.

Usually overwatering is the culprit.
