Hello,
Maybe this post can help? https://fedia.io/m/[email protected]/t/1877941/European-shoes-thread#comments
Whenever this question comes up it reminds me of this Family Guy bit 😅 In all seriousness though maybe you can find something here
Lol had forgotten that bit
Not EU (but part of EFTA), but I'd like to recommend the Mostly Swiss "On" shoes for this: https://www.on.com/
The shoes are incredibly comfortable for walking. They are a bit pricey but not insane. I didn't pay attention to them getting popular until I noticed every employee in a hospital was wearing these which made me understand that it must be more than just a fad (it was more than just a fad).
Edit: wanted to add that I mean specifically Cloud 5 & 6 shoes from them.
Always trust a nurse and their shoe of choice!
Ended up getting me a pair from here :)
Exactly my thought! And happy to hear you got help choosing / finding from this thread! :)
I was looking at getting new shoes, always got nike because they fit well. Time to finally start looking at Adidas as a replacement. Been needing to buy for months and putting it off has paid off now at being able to support the EU instead.
Adidas as a replacement
Ain't Adidas german? Exploitative, sweat-shoppy, but german, no?
Uhm yes, hence I'm using it as a replacement to my usual Nikes?
I like Salewa. :)

Not sure why the other comments looks strange on Mbin, but here's the link: https://fedia.io/m/[email protected]/t/1882463/Shoes-from-EU-makers-for-very-long-walks
I'm rolling the dice on 8000kicks. They've got a Kickstarter going on, right now, for Trekkers made from HEMP. I normally buy all things American, but tennis shoe/sneaker selection is limited at best. Subpar at worst. And it's not cheap, either. So we're gonna try out these hemp sneaks. 🙂
I did a little digging, and it looks like they're going to manufacture through multiple factories. Factories, plural. They come out & say they're based in Portugal with a factory. Then they might use China, disappointing but not at all surprising. And possibly Vietnam! Hope that helps.
Yeah, something similar to the Merrell Moab line, but from the EU.
