off topic but mildly interesting, this post has negative downvotes. As in, it has an approval rate of 111%

I'm still holding out hope for WMR to go open source. Loads of folks are offloading their HP G2s and it's a decent set for the money. If Microsoft really wants to support open source and not make this popular 5 year old set e-waste they have a simple win here.

I sold mine one recently and went with a HTV Vive Cosmos pro so I can keep using my Windows specific VR games. Sucks to have them kill my less than 1 year old Christmas gift, but it didn't really feel like there was much that I could do about it.

I'm not planning to sell. I have my nephew my old gaming laptop and since it has an i7-6700HQ it'll stay on Win10. In a year or so I'll give him my G2.

I haven't tried. I've got one PC in the apartment still on Windows 10. I use it for streaming PCVR to Quest 3. Once Windows 10 is dead I'll try streaming via ALVR.

ALVR worked with my PC and Quest 3S, just played a little Subnautica

I used an oculus quest to connect to my PC and it worked alright. I just needed the free world version of mesa and I still had to use x. But that was 9ish months ago
