The most joyous part of Christmas is the lights, not the same annoying songs that have been forced into our ear canals for decades.

Jovial I say!

So instead of small lights we get big lights? cool

I don’t even call them Christmas lights. I call them party lights. Because it’s never a wrong time to party.

It is August though. If there was a law it would be against it

I can get into Christmas but goddamn a little over 1 month is enough. The same 5 old Christmas songs on rotation everywhere for 3 months is too much.

Plus, I love that Halloween seems like it's getting bigger and more like Christmas! I think I could stand Halloween festivities to start in September. Another thing, why aren't there more Halloween songs?

I swear I have heard the same dozen or so Christmas songs since I was a young child. I am so absolutely sick of them lmao

It's as if the last new Christmas song was created 20 years ago and there was a ban on anything new ever being created again. Just forced to repeat the same bloody songs over and over and over again like in some torturous purgatory

I ended up making a less than traditional Christmas Spotify playlist specifically for this reason. It still has some of the songs but covered in a more interesting way.

One I keep on frequently thy time of year is Holiday Cheer - Bite Me Bambi

I declare allegiance to summer and will be blasting Hot Girl Summer Anthems until the new year

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I'll join you there! I'd say I need more summer in my life, but being in a fucking heat dome makes that harder to say.

Also, got any anthem suggestions? Not necessarily "hot girl" but a couple of my most recent summer faves are,

Nice and Easy - American Authors (feat. Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray)

My Wave - DENM

The most joyous part of Christmas that should be practiced year-round is the lights, not the same annoying songs that have been forced into our ear canals for decades.

I hate people like this. Christmas is the worst, most anxiety inducing holiday and people like this are half the reason why. I just wanna live my life, I don't wanna buy your red and green festive dogshit 5 months in advance.

You can deplete my half assed cooperation now or you can wait. Bear in mind there's only a few days of it in me. It doesn't reach a full week.
