Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I feel bad for the person who had to watch 20 trump rallies, that's dedication I do not possess

If you think THAT'S bad, please spare some sympathy for Dan of the excellent Knowledge Fight podcast

Those type of podcasts seem pretty easy to produce a lot of though.

I wonder if he has a plan for when Jones suffers a massive heart attack though? I hope j Jed’s saved for some kind of retirement.

There's tons of material to choose from, sure. The challenging part is listening to hours and hours and hours of Jones' mad and frequently tedious rantings and then cut out the boring parts to make an entertaining show.

I wonder if he has a plan for when Jones suffers a massive heart attack though

Dan and Jordan have often said that they would love for the podcast to become obsolete by Jones never broadcasting anything again.

Whether they have any plans for what to do after that is less clear. Might move on to another propagandist, might make a podcast about something else entirely, might call it quits 🤷

I hope j Jed’s saved for some kind of retirement

I have no idea who that is, but sure 🤷

Yeah the long term toll is probably something any of them would have to deal with.

I hope j Jed’s saved for some kind of retirement.

Autocorrect did something insane to “they’ve”

To be perfectly blunt and without the typical humor that's been associated with him... I would say it could be a fear he sees of him losing ground with the realization that all of his problems and misdeeds are finally catching up to him and one of the very few paths out is slipping away.

For someone who could be seemingly suffering from what may be, or something similar to NPD; seeing a lot of what one created, appearing at least to their eyes, to be starting to erode can be very distressing to one's psyche. This I imagine would cause that person to lash out, similar to how one would act in a fight or flight scenario.

I have a question. Why is it when a politician says positive things like their going to "lower the taxes" and "improve quality if life", etc. when elected everybody knows they're talking out of their ass and none of that is going to happen. But if a politician spews negative shit everybody acts like it's all already set in stone and almost guaranteed to happen. In my experience politics is very slow, big changes happen slow and often don't stick past a legislative period. Most politicians are all talk no bite, this has been proven again and again and again.

What a weird, weird take on this.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago

Because it actually happened during Trump presidency. People were deported.

Potential damage. It's much easier to destroy things than to build them, and the damage can be done quickly. (Even more so when a handpicked court gives the president more power.) People should fear deranged fascists and keep them out of office.
