BRO EVERY SINGLE UNITED PLAYER IS BALL WATCHING AND LEAVES THE BACK POST UNMARKED

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Sounds like my under-12s yesterday in the first half. Our defence was getting pulled all over the place and I was going hoarse shouting to them to get back into position. we turned it around in the second half though.

Not sure Yanaited will be able to do that today.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Nope, they're boned. Even if they weren't flying into card-worthy challenges and getting really mad at their own incompetence, they don't seem to have what it takes to get out of their own half.

Just saw the penalty shout not given vs Newcastle. It's blatant at this point.

A thought I had this morning: I think VAR is just completely asleep. Have we seen any overturns from VAR this season?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Lol, Spurs missed a 1v1 chance with the keeper and Fernandez was given a red card after a soft Foul on Maddison that he absolutely milks

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That red card was pure karma, given how many times Fernandez has hacked players down while at the same time he's flopped around dramatically when someone has breathed on him, looking to get them carded.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Absolutely, lol. I still find it strange that VAR let the red stand.

I guess it's not entirely "clear and obvious" enough to overturn. I was also wondering if, although the tackle wasn't dangerous, Fernandez's attempt was reckless and could have been more dangerous

I think VAR is asleep. Like actually, have we seen any overturns by VAR so far this season? Referee just waits for a few seconds and then says confirmed, go ahead.

E: ESPN says 10 overturns so far this season, but we've been involved in none of them.

lol United.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm not sure how I feel about this 🤣

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Same. Spurs won, but Man U are 12th behind Brighton and Foreat and are 3 points away from Ipswich and Everton. They also will have a player out for at least 1 game.

However, that also means Spurs are 4 points behind us and City.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm not worried about Spurs at all cuz they don't have that quality...but it's literally i take pleasure in Yanited failing, but god damn why did the Spuds win 🤣🤣🤣

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Very true. I think Spurs can be dangerous, but if United were a better team, they could have scalped them

So the dirty rat-faced bastard managed to get sent off against shit.

I don't really want anyone to win or even draw that one. Fucking hate both of those clubs. So I guess I'm supporting Localized Meteor Strike FC.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Eh, there's no good way to react as a neutral (or one who hates both sides) without being an asshole who wishes for snapped ankles.

So instead, I'm wishing for three more red cards for each team. Big bustup at 69' with Ange rugby tackling Ten Haag.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

lol, that would have worked too.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I know this is probably pretty obvious, but Man U just don't look good. Only been watching for 5-10mins, but Spurs seem to be playing fairly decently. However, I think that's because of how poor Man U look.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I saw a headline on the PL app this morning saying that Man United are so difficult for oppositions to break down under ten Haag. Yeah, so that sounds like utter shite. Right now they are bottling it against the perennial bottle-jobs.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

They're having their own breakdown, lol.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

United are just terrible at defending, and Spurs charge forward hoping that teams will be baffled by their suicidal play. It's honestly kind of a perfect matchup for Spurs.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Same old team relying on 1 player to scrape a win

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Lol watching Spurs and United players try to pass the ball is hilarious. Where did they find these man?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The spuds have long been a second-rate meal ticket where players who have given up on their careers go for easy money. Man United have turned into that too. They used to lure the latest hot talent to them and just piss their time away. Now they can't even really got the big names.

I really hope they don't fire Haag. While he's occasionally able to muster them to a good result against a big club, for the most part he's just selling the club and their fan base pipe dreams. His player handling is horrible and just exacerbates their fractured changing room. And he's often getting outsmarted by even mid-level PL managers. But considering they nearly axed him in the Summer (and would have if they could have found a semi-decent replacement), I don't see him lasting the season Hopefully I'm wrong.

Ten Haag is to United as Havertz is to Arsenal. They were brought in to do a certain job and they've transitioned to doing a different job.

Ten Haag was brought in to fill a role that Arsenal fans should be very familiar with: just make a few good signings and catapult the club back into the big time. Turns out that doesn't work when the rot has crept into every crevice of your club. Now he's overseeing their "rebuild", which isn't.. really going well. They're doing a Project Youth, but by overpaying a la Chelsea and being hamstrung by FFP because of various financial difficulties.

Havertz was brought in as another 8, but it was pretty clear that that's not where he's best. Now he's firing on some cylinders as a striker. The Kai of years past never would have attempted that audacious lob at Brighton, for example.

In both cases, both clubs are exploring alternatives to both of these: United were actively shopping around in the summer as ten Haag sat in the cuck chair and pretended not to notice. Arsenal have been linked to every striker under the sun even after Havertz started popping off.

What's the difference here? Havertz is actually a good player at his core. He may not be a world-class LCM or striker, but he can do the business and do a middling job at 8 or honestly a decent job at striker. Ten Haag has displayed absolutely no managerial quality since he arrived. He's gotten into fights with his players, slagged them off in press conferences, looks completely out of his depth tactically, and has some of the thinnest skin I've seen from a United manager, and that is saying something. Long may he last.

rumours of Calafiori getting injured celebrating the Leicester goal

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

That would be the most Calafiori thing ever
