It was sabotage to leech their real estate holdings for a quick buck and throw the former functioning business model away to drown in rent, no different than a host of other businesses under our terminal stage market capitalism with no more meaningful new virgin markets to exploit.

Because the Capital Markets that control our economy no longer have any interest in profiting through the provision of goods and services(the entire purpose of an economy) anymore, too fucking slow, not reckless enough, what company can they burn to goose the next quarter? They need more reckless growth/metastasis now or they'll be sad on their Mega Yachts.

Getting really fucking hot outside, isn't it? Coolest summer of the rest of our lives. That's the nice thing about a mega yacht, if it gets too hot you can just voyage north to a more temperate port, and leave all that suffering you caused behind in your wake. It's just business after all.

has stuff always been like this? I can never tell if it's getting worse or if I'm just paying attention now.

I know this business activity of investers buying a business just to strip mine it and dump the carcass is not new as that is the back story to the male character in the movie Pretty Woman back in the 80s. So it’s been happening for a while and I am just shocked that we let it keep happening.
