Oh my god, this is horrible news. Reddit is a horrible website and only getting worse. OpenAI promoting them and using their garbage content to train their AI systems is alarming. This is so dystopian.

And of course it always leads back to money:

I left reddit after the API nonsense (which was to stop AI companies scraping their content), and I could see them selling their content for AI (or creating their own AI) coming a mile off. It's only ever about money
