They are wider than most car tires, but they are also very tall. Their website says the tires are 285/65R20. Very high profile, even with 20” wheels.

You could. But they still know who owns the car. They also charge you for the cost of the boot.

Bring the tire with you when you pay the fine so they can take the boot off. All this does is create an inconvenience instead of immobilizing the vehicle.
