Are you car camping or backpacking?

Camping from a car, cooking for two.

It depends. For my car, I downsized to a jet boil and bought the fry pan accessory to go with it.

In the van I have a 17" Blackstone. That thing is awesome. Burgers, eggs, veggies, you name it. Super easy to clean, cooks super fast.

I also now have a gas one dual fuel. I connect that and the Blackstone to a little 5 lb tank with a y adapter. Before that the jet boil was on pot duty.

All that said, my old 2 burner Coleman has served me well for over 20 years. Before getting the Blackstone, a cast iron griddle fit over it and worked just as well, just not as easy to clean.

Thanka for this. My wife and i are looking at a coleman duel burner one. Unfortunately it takes little gas cartridges which ate expensive compared to a tank, but far safer to carry around

If you want to be able to precisely control the heat you won't do any better than the MSR DragonFly® Multi-Liquid Fuel Backpacking Stove. I've gotten over a decade of use out of MSR tents and stoves (including maintenance kits) across America from Pacific to Atlantic and from the outback up into FNQ Queensland down to Tasmanian.

Sure in a pinch a Coleman multi fuel stove will do. But it'll always cook hot in extreme heat... So you won't be able to turn it down low enough to do some things you think you should. That's not an issue with the dragonfly which is much more adjustable, and as I said has replacement parts to maintain.
