I have been racking my brain, trying out all sorts of letter combinations, but I can not seem to make out what is the original meaning of this sign. I can see the letters for 'yellow' and the background of the sign is yellow, but that may not mean anything. It may be quite simple or even not English, I have considered that. If anyone knows the answer please tell me so that I may sleep and not see this sign in my dreams.

I am going down a rabbit hole on this.

Not on wayback machine. Domain isn't even registered. But Yellow Edge Gallery exists. Nothing there about this sign, though.

Searching for "rowlart" leads me to http://rowlart.tumblr.com, an artist of a completely different style. The "Home" page excitedly states: "NEW WEBSITE HAS LAUNCHED! | Please visit... WWW.ROWLART.COM" This is our guy.

On the "Request a Painting" page, we find a Twitter and a Facebook. Twitter says he's Rowland Phillips, and he's posted most recently on August 20, 2024.

If we go back to Yellow Edge Gallery, we find that Rowland Phillips has exhibited there. This suggests that the sign is for his exhibition, so he would know about it.

Oh, and there's an email address. Wish me luck.

Thank you so much! I notice that it is easier to make sense of the sign in your link because they have the 'W' in white rather in black like in the post. I imagine they realized that it was a bit too unintelligible and changed it.

Looks to say "Yellow Edge" from the top down and bottom up. So yellow is in there twice. I believe the other commenter is right that it's the Yellow Edge gallery.
