I blocked it the moment I saw it.
sh.itjust.works Main Community
Home of the sh.itjust.works instance.
This is the way.
Same same
I thought about that but having never looked too much into that subreddit, was curious to see what kind of garbage they spew before blocking
Likewise.
I'm kind of disappointed I can't downvote now, but oh well. Looks like others are doing the lords work haha
Still a badge of honor. Kind of like getting banned from r/conservative lol
You're totally getting banned from c/conservative as soon as they figure out how to use Lemmy.
I picture Hank Hill trying to play PlayStation with Bobby before giving up.
Nah Hank can game, I mean remember how much he was slaying on Pro Pain? (also I'm wanting to build a community of KOTH fans so join me at [email protected] if you're interested)
I can't wait to get banned for asking a legitimate question
I just plainly asked "is this ironic?" and my comment was removed. No response.
Can you not even handle that?
Looks like some salty snowflake came through and downvoted every comment here, I've never seen so many lol. What a baby
Trump nuts are the real snowflakes. They get upset at you without even a word needing to be said.
So you were canceled? Hypocrites.
Is there a list anywhere of these shit instances we can block?
Maybe it’s a bad community but not a whole bad instance?
It's hosted on our instance, so correct.
ah ok, well question still stands if anyone knows of a list of instances to block like that.
Exploding-heads.com is full of awful communities.
The call is coming from inside the house on this one
Sad to hear they found Lemmy.
I've only found the one that's a bunch of liberals cybersquatting the name of the former trump reddit sub.
Oh please turn it into a satire community.
... and watch it become not-satire and then fully serious
It's gonna need some careful moderation to keep it fully satire methinks
Did you know that's how r/thedonald actually started? It was meant to be satire but it attracted those who were serious and look at what happebed.
Only post pics of Donald Glover, Donald Duck, etc...
What instance is it on? Would like to shitpost a little :p
I've noticed that instances christian, maga, conservative, and theDonald all have low counts comparatively to most instances. The highest I saw the other day was 120 or so but most were like 40-80
That's probably because of a mixture of things:
- younger people are more likely to try out new SM
- younger people are more likely to be liberal
- many people here are fleeing from other SM that skews liberal (mostly Reddit)
- the founders were largely socialist, so liberals probably felt more at home in the early days
At least that's my take.
That said, I want nothing to do with maga-style communities.
You forgot that Russian troll fans haven’t yet infiltrated Lemmy, but if the bot Registration reports are real, they’re on their way.
Reactionaries from different nations are heads of the same hydra. Russian tankies, USA magas, west Asian ISIS, etc . . . they all suffer from the same character flaws.
Those "russian" bots and troll farms are likely funded by American tankies/conservatives/terrorists.
Those “russian” bots and troll farms are likely funded by American tankies/conservatives/terrorists.
Just the opposite, American tankies/conservatives/terrorists are actually partially funded by Russia. It's part of the plan outlined in Foundations of Geopolitics and there have been numerous instances of conservative organizations and individuals receiving money from Russian agents. The NRA I believe has gotten some nice sums from Russia.
I'll add that younger people are more likely to be targets of conservative animosity / demonized, not necessarily more liberal.
I just shitposted into one and got countered surprisingly witty. Yeah. A lot of those are Satire communities, at least atm.

Pretty sure r/TheDonald started as a satire community and it evolved into one of the largest white nationalist movements the world has ever seen.
Like the nazis on 4Chan 10-15 years ago. They were debate threads for the sake of arguing. Same with the flat earthers there. It was for the argument, not the points made.
Then people didnt get it and it became real.
I got banned in one comment. Took me 3 to get the boot on Walkaway, lol
Instance admins should really nip that in the bud, IMO
I don't get why people always want to ban things. At least you can see everything in the open now.
Communities with a habit of calling for violence against specific communities should be banned
