Also, consider The Electronic Frontier Foundation, Wikipedia, and The Internet Archive

Wikipedia shall get their money from google and other big companies that use the database. There are many more projects that can use money much better

Nothing wrong with donating to Wiki but donating to Internet Archive would be better IMO: They need it more.

I'm skeptical of Wikipedia's genuine need for money after reading this.
