I'm struggling with the perspective, about how far down is that drop? And what are the orange plants?

There's a person in the top right which might help with scale, I think that section is about 20 metres. The orange plants are bracken after it's died off in the autumn

Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a huge patch of deciduous ferns before. It never even occurred to me as an option.
