Over 40? For me is even worst! You younglings still have time to do something. I have no house, no savings, no retirement plan and no time to do all that! I'm the most fucked! Do you think I expect good things?

I think you're misunderstanding. This isn't just about good things for them individually. We don't really expect the world to get better in pretty much any way. And gen z seems to be expecting it to be even worse.
