Yes it's Lewis's fault, but he had a really strong move on the outside and with soft tires. It was a matter of inches. If Russel goes a little bit harder on his brakes or stays inside just a little bit and Hamilton stays out just a bit, this is a story of a ballsy overtake.

It didn't pan out. Both drivers blamed the other then both blamed themselves (then George realized he wasnt (less?) at fault and blamed lewis again).

TBH, I think team orders should have been to, unless Russell got a clear jump off the line, let Hamilton send it in the first corner on his softs to try and get in front of and/or slow down verstappen while Russells tires came up to temp.

I agree with this assessment completely. Especially after the pre-race talks about working as a team to keep the Ferrari's at bay. I was almost expecting what you described after seeing Lewis on the softs and how much of a short term advantage they offered yesterday.
