pretty lame video I skipped through because of reports. what do they do on lemmy.today? I'd delete but my mouse has a scroll wheel. downvotes must do something
well reports are boring, but science is based on data and data is official
so you think the vid is good?
I don't see what is wrong with the video, just comparing data, expected and current
Is this better?
Excess mortality during heat-periods: 1 June to 31 August 2022
here excess deaths are around 10% and it is been looked into
in video, it doesn't say why there is excess deaths, but numbers are 20-30% in some cases, so it is worth to look into
every data signal should be looked into
5 - 10% of excess deaths is already a signal, why 20 - 30% is not?___
youtube is not known for doing good science. this video, while maybe he believes he is on to something important, does not pass basic tests for scientific theory and looks, as mentioned by another commenter, like misinformation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Campbell_(YouTuber)
I understand you believe his conclusions which is fine if we we were discussing religion or fantasy. we aren't. If you'd like to hang around here and maybe learn something, good, welcome. if you keep posting garbage and annoying people I'll wish you luck elsewhere. behave.
while I'm at it, anyone who cares about this little backwater science forum can PM me about becoming a moderator. I'm not spending a lot of time here and could use another set of eyes. TIA
