Yeah, you clearly haven't a clue what you're talking about. If you'd had just a cursory glance at their comment history you'd have found such gems as "ABUB: Always Be Union Busting" and this one:

Under capitalism I allow my workers no such thing, they must toil physically for a full work day and if I catch a whiff of complaint or dissent, I threaten them with unemployment. Not only will the trenches not dig themselves but my profits don't come out of thin air. I need them to work extra hard so I can pay off my second sailing yacht (one stays in the carribean, the other in the med) this year and put a down payment on a third (south pacific).

Are we supposed to check comment history every time we see some moron that's bad at satire make a comment that's identical to actual bootlicker rhetoric?

Nah, only the times when you make definitive statements about comment patterns and the overall quality and nature of the entire account.

You know, the rare occasions where it's actually what determines whether you have a point or are full of shit and doubling down to avoid having to just admit that the subtle difference between satire and stupidity eluded you 🤷

If you have to point out that you're doing satire, you're pretty dogshit at satire.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Or some of the audience didn't get the joke and doubled down on being right to, as was the case here.

A lot of people thought that A Modest Proposal was sincere and as I mentioned to another of the wooshed complainers, people who didn't get it share The Onion articles as if they were real news all the time.

If satire is TOO obvious, it loses its edge. If it's easy to be understood immediately by those actively wanting it to be sincere, it's not good satire, so I guess you only like bad satire like Babylon Bee or whatever equivalent fits your politics better 🙄

Dude, I'm a big fan of satire. You're still here, days later, trying to convince me of how funny this "satire" is and how I don't get it. Satire and dry humor are a second language to me. This is just a very shitty attempt at satire. Go take a nap or something.

Because you're still here, days later, insisting that you not getting it automatically means that it was bad or not even satire.

Satire and dry humor are a second language to me

Must be damn near illiterate then

This is just a very shitty attempt at satire.

It's ok to admit you didn't get it at first. You don't have to deflect your feelings of inadequacy.

Go take a nap or something.

I have. And I'll stop replying to your bullshit when you stop giving me bullshit to refute 🤷

Sorry, all I heard was you have a shit sense of humor and don't understand satire.

Must be an echo of yourself you're hearing then.
