I suppose Baldur's Gate 3 could be an example for a lot of people. Any recent or just "recent" release you are waiting for to get at the moment?

BG3 too Bust mostly cause of the two things I saw

  1. A couple years ago, the intro cinematic, which was a tentacle spaceship flown by cuthulu
  2. And the beastiality "joke"

The game made it kinda easy for me to be patient for the inevitable "GOTY" edition

Mind flayers (the "Cthulhu") are prominent bad guys in DnD, super popular. They're canonically aberrations from a different realm, so they're designed to be freaky Lovecraft aliens. Idk if you're saying BG3 looks weird or crazy, but aliens and spelljammer space-ship like things are established canon in DnD, the source material.

im not entirely new to Dnd and im well aware that BG IS DnD, but i have never seen nor heard of the tentacle boys before, nor alien spaceships, ever

but my second point is like 80% of my apprehension

What beastiality joke are you referring to? I've been playing BG3 and nothing comes to mind

the druid dude transforming to a bear "sex" scene (not like i favor cringy sex scenes in games to being with but thats almost besides the point)
