In America we say Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior Bless You

In Denmark, we say "prosit", a Latin word meaning "may it be beneficial" originating from the time of the Black Death.

Basically, we tell sneezing people that we hope they don't have the plague. MUCH better than invoking someone who's their own imaginary dad or just saying "health", if you ask me.

Oh, I couldn’t have been more sarcastic with my comment. Saying “God Bless You” to a sneeze is fucking stupid.

In German, we use "Prosit" as "Cheers" when drinking in a group. 🙃

just saying “health”,

It's short for "I wish you good health (and not the plague)".

“may it be beneficial”

May what be beneficial? In German, "Prosit" (usually "Prost") is a form of "cheers" or "bottoms up" because that beer better be beneficial or else.
