@KarnaSubarna it needs to be able to run Netflix, banking apps and McD app (has very high security requirements - hard to get working on LineageOS f.ex.
If it solves those - I think it could be hugely popular - as the first fully useable phone, for those wanting to regain control over their phone and data.

@shiftymccool its actually the best test of a true open source solution being able to run all android apps.. its the only one I never got working on my LineageOS with MicroG setup last time.. latest (tried on fairphone 5) - I couldn't even get netflix etc. working :(

I do realize its DRM requirement crap and google proprietary crap .. but IMHO an open source phone - needs to be able to run those, if it wants a big marketshare (and it really would be fantastic for a 'wide market' phone)
