I'll be buying it, no shame in saying that. Just only once, and only on PC, as long as they don't block Linux. I've waited 10 years for a new installment. What's one more

Linux compatibility would be fantastic. Not sure how to judge the likelihood of that.

As long as it works with proton I'm happy. There have been a few games that go out of their way to prevent proton compatibility.

That's good to hear, the few I'd read about made it seem more common than not. Especially games with multiplayer.

Multiplayer is a crapshoot, singleplayer I'm more surprised when something doesn't work. I was able to play Veilguard day one using proton. Madden 2025 they explicitly banned linux. Just always check protondb.com before purchasing.
