I'm in a safe place. Did get strong rain for a few days. But has been calm for the last 2 days.
But the hilly regions are at risk of landslides. More than 360 people were lost in the recent tragedy in Wayanad.
Regarding flooding, yes. But I think the system has adapted to it with good flood warning and relocation to camps, after our experience with the 2018 floods.
There were heavy winds that damaged things, fell trees and electric posts. But it was mostly in isolated areas and the KSEB was able to deal with it and return electricity soon.
Currently another background fear for the people in some of the central districts is the Mullapperiyar dam
