I have finally been pheno hunting small packs (5-6) of good genetics to find the freaks. Found out quick that this is the right way to do things.

I just had to come share this with you guys, I'm blown away.

Sugar Cane is Slurricane X Platinum, grown in 5Gal DWC with Lotus nutes, Si, CalMag, FishShit, and Orca.

This pheno was by far the slowest grower, smallest buds. I thought for sure it would be tossed in favor of the larger plants that were flowering faster.

Now that I am in week 6 I can tell this is the clear winner. It still has the smallest buds, but is insanely frosty compared to the others. It's really greasy and smells like heaven.

Look at it's sister in the background, that would have been my favorite in week 4. Now she is green while this prized pheno is practically lavender and white.

*So *glad the clone of this pheno survived (#4 didn't). I will be growing this all winter now.

Finally at the point where my homegrown is better than anything I can buy at my local dispensary, even the $500 oz stuff.

I'm wanting to flip to flower in the next week. First grow ever so I focused on not killing anything vs. taking my time training them well.

Is it too late to top these beauties to:

A: manage my height before flipping to 12/12 B: improve my canopy and therefore yield C: mess around with and perfect some cloning techniques.

Any advice is much appreciated!

From what I’ve gathered from researching is, in the last couple weeks it’s too late for any meaningful seeding to be done, so let it ride.

They’re getting chopped this weekend, may just be Friday instead of Sunday.

trichome pictures. so hard for me to tell, appears mainly milky, so unless she starts looking worse I’ll maybe cut her this Saturday on week 9.
