The New Jersey Devils announced today that the team has named Travis Green as an associate coach to join head coach Lindy Ruff's staff. The announcement was made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.

We all know Nico will win the Selke one day but it's a shame that Bergerons's amazing season with the Bruins means he won't get it this year. Kid hadan career year in a historic season for the Devils.

On 32T: Elliotte Friedman says the #NJDevils and Timo Meier are really grinding away at it.

Friedman: "Fitzgerald's quoted and nobody has disputed that Meier told his agent to do an 8-year deal" (32:50 mark)

I was going to wait for an official statement, but I'm too curious.

What does this mean for our powerplay? Do you think it takes a step up this year with Green in charge of it? Or maybe some good ol' stagnation.

Seems Hellebuyck's camp is talking with Fitz about the possibility of coming to NJ. Not sure we'd want to risk the future with the kind of cap hit he'd demand. I think we still have a solid future with VV and Schmid. Thoughts?

New Jersey remains without a first round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

As it stands, New Jersey has six picks, one in each round except for the first. During his end-of-season media availability, Devils' general manager Tom Fitzgerald said, "We don't have a first-round pick. That doesn't mean we won't get one."

Tom Fitzgerald reveals that he spoke with Timo Meier yesterday, and Meier has expressed wanting to stay here for the next eight years.

Has asked his agent to negotiate an eight-year deal to stay with #NJDevils

I'm hoping the deal gets worked out before the arbitration date, but things are moving along!

I was thinking we could run next season with the goalies we had already, Schmid and Vanecek fighting for 1A, but now with Daws out for the beginning of the season we have a need to fill.
