I think your decimal may be off. For full time work, looks like ~36 cents per hour, assuming full time. But, for many it would be even worse. For Walmart, completely eliminating the CEO pay could increase the bottom 50% earners annual income by a whopping $22.

I agree with the overall sentiment tho. More than what this article shows, I’d be interested to see the percentage and dollar amount increase in disposable income among various cohorts within the top 10 percent incomes.

This article kind of made a mess of the numbers. At one point it suggests the mortality rate increased, but that’s not what the actual research shows.

From OG article: “Our study showed that the global morbidity of early-onset cancer increased from 1990 to 2019, while mortality and DALYs slightly decreased”

https://bmjoncology.bmj.com/content/2/1/e000049

The vast majority of the raw numbers increasing is because of the word population going from 5.3 billion to 7.75 billion in that same time. The next cause does seem to be diagnostic ability, especially when looking at what cancers saw the biggest increase.

It’s not, it’s two years old. You’re on the right track, but it’s not exactly that, but more covering the speculation, even quoting an interview mentioning it as ridiculous and absurd.

Gift link for seeing the actual article.

Apollo is gone as well. Honestly, more legitimately sad than I expected. Mid-scrolling comments it closed out and no longer opens. I think I’d have preferred not to experience its death and it just happened while I slept lol. Memmy on iOS seems to be what I’ll move too and it is rapidly improving, but Apollo was just so damn good. Shucks.
