So… does that store only sell Stihl tools? Or, do they just order their tools by brand rather than type? Because if so I need to find them and tell them how angry their store makes me.

Sure, we don’t have 70% tax rates like some countries do, but the 30% taxes we do pay don’t actually do anything to improve our lives.

I feel like it’s valid to complain about paying taxes into a system that doesn’t have any interest in making our lives better or longer.

Also, we still spend that extra 40% in ridiculous health insurance and copayments.

Honestly it sounds like you’re more interested in winning what you think is an argument than the substance of what I was saying.

A PS5 out of the box gives you a 4k picture at 60fps for many games using clever techniques that the average end user doesn’t care about in the slightest. That should be the benchmark.

MiniPCs are surprisingly good at this price point; good enough that I would say for most people’s average use case they would be satisfied.

I’d like to see them get more popular.

Well… you were responding to a post by me… which had no mention of “native” anything.

On the ps5: FF14, borderlands 3, Monster Hunter: World, Destiny 2, Metro Exodus, Far Cry 6, Resident Evil: Village, etc…

Most of them run dynamic 4k so there is periodic upscaling which is seamless in my experience.

I’ve tried this, and I think it’s worth providing a more powerful console if playing on the tv is your primary use case.

It works fine but it doesn’t really hold up to the 4k 60fps HDR experience that most people are getting used to from the main console makers.

I really blame Musecore for this, and all of the social engineering that big tech has been doing for years to make profiting off of selling user submitted content seem acceptable.

I miss the golden age of the late 90’s when tabs were easy to get and free.

Or just “request desktop website”.

I follow the Bluesky devs, I feel pretty confident that they are excited and taking their role in building a protocol and platform seriously.

I’ve yet to see a board of directors that wasn’t a joke anywhere though, so I guess I just assumed that this would happen everywhere.

The SEO on this name is going to be a major irritation for adoption.

But that aside, doesn’t it strike you as a concerning that this project is born at least in part from the complaints about a “benevolent dictator”, and the very first time—at least that I’ve seen—someone asks you to put something up for community consensus you say no?
