In a phone interview with Fox News on Saturday, Trump said that he was “so disappointed at Julia Roberts” and that she will one day look back at the ad and “cringe.” He added that he doesn’t believe the video portrayed a realistic marital dynamic, calling it “ridiculous.”

“I mean, can you imagine a wife not telling her husband who she’s voting for?” Trump said. “Even if you have a horrible, if you had a bad relationship, you’re going to tell your husband.”

Yeah, I think maybe I can imagine it. I bet she votes for Kamala just to spite his stinky ass.

Ooh:

To [the person running the group that created the ad], the furious responses from some men online reinforces the need for the video’s message. “They took a person’s sanctity of their ballot and turned it into a conversation about men owning the behaviors of the women in their life,” Pagitt said. “And like, well, I didn’t think you were going to make our point for us. We’re very grateful that you did.”

Years ago, I took a sociology class, and one of the things they covered (briefly) was the differences in communication styles between genders. This is something I've always remembered:

You know how there are these old-time stereotypes about your spouse, where the wife always complains that her husband never listens to her and the husband claims that his wife is always changing her mind? Turns out that (in a general sense) when women are listening to someone speak, they tend to nod their heads, whereas men don't nod.

The thing is that the women were nodding to show that they were listening to what the other person was saying, while the husbands were interpreting the nods as agreement to what was being said. The wives were interpreting their husbands' lack of response as "he never listens" and the husbands were interpreting the mods followed by disagreement as "she's always changing her mind". Such a simple stylistic difference on how we communicate, and it's led to so much misunderstanding over the years.

I've been thinking of that difference a lot these past few months, where so many right-wing men are absolutely convinced that they're right and everyone obviously agrees with them, and how they're always blindsided and confused when that turns out to not be the case. And I wonder how much miscommunication (or not-correcting misunderstandings) is going on between couples these days.

They simply cannot fathom the idea of someone letting them say something disagreeable. Because of their own behavior in that regard.

Christian are supposed to:

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:36-40

Yet here we fucking are. If Jesus were to come back, he'd literally do the same shit he did thousands of years ago.

13 The Jewish Passover was near, so Jesus went to Jerusalem. 14 He found those who were selling cattle, sheep, and pigeons in the temple courtyard. He also found moneychangers sitting there. 15 He made a whip from small ropes and threw everyone with their sheep and cattle out of the temple courtyard. He dumped the moneychangers’ coins and knocked over their tables.

16 He told those who sold pigeons, “Pick up this stuff, and get it out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!”

Imagine him coming to a mega church. What an absolute joke of "Christianity". Fuck them, fuck anyone who supports it, and fuck the laws the enables this.

I believe this is wishful thinking.

Maybe in semi urban areas.

I know several otherwise normal women who are so corrupted by the algorithms in their understanding and beliefs they are immovable from the conspiracy mind that the deep state and whatever else has been programmed into their heads.

These are people I've known for decades. They have gone from hippy-left to tradwife-nationalist-libertarian-conspiracy theorist-far right-everything they read is true and everything you read is fake.
