Admittedly I’m from the US, but from what I remember watching a Last Week Tonight episode about Scotland wanting to breakaway, and seeing how they tend to be treated by UK leadership, I totally get it. I think it’s more than fair that England cut their own grass

Maybe just tell them you will only cut the Scottish side and cut an additional meter or 2 every time (moving the sign each time of course)

In the US is really common to have the actual road turn into a pristine asphalt ribbon or into a Sarajevo-in-the-90s pot holed mess as you cross county or state lines.
