I can't give an exact number because I had the gamecube collector's edition disc, but it was either 5 or 6, just roaming around both as an itty bitty without ever beating the games until I was like 12. Played the wind waker demo many times too. Was terrible at Zelda 1 and 2.
Patient Gamers
A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
I'm an old head. OG gold cart. I remember being so disappointed with Zelda 2. Now I kinda wanna go back to it. It had a really cool score.
I played Legend of Zelda on the 8-bit Nintendo (#1) with some roommates in college. I tried playing Ocarina of Time on the 3DS (don't see a number for it), but I didn't like the platform enough to continue using it and I wasn't used to the type of game Zelda is. I haven't tried any since, but not because of a lack of respect for the franchise. I just missed the party and don't know where to jump in. Plus, there are so many games out there to choose from.
Mine was ocarina of time on 3DS, which gave me motion sickness and that's how I learned 3D (as in movie 3D not CGI) and gaming simply don't mix.
#1, which I rented from my local video rental store back when video rental was all small, locally owned businesses - until I was eventually gifted a cart of my own for my birthday. I tried to find it not that long ago when I stopped to visit my parents. I found my original 8-bit NES and all of my games except Zelda. I suspect my niece, who had been living in my old room for a number of years, may have found it on the top shelf of the closet and realizing its value either sold it or gave it to her boyfriend.
number 1. I'm an 80s baby ^^
Number 3 is my all time favourite though.
1, but 5 is the one I spent the most time playing
5, and it was one of my older sibling's friends that just let us have a bunch of their games that they were done with. It quickly became my favourite game on the N64, along with Smash Bros later on.
#1 I’m almost 40
#1!
I remember going to the bookstore and looking at a Nintendo Power magazine. The postcards they had in there for you to mail in and subscribe always had art or photos on them. And one of them had a small blurry photo of one of the dungeons in Zelda.
I yanked that postcard out and took it home with me to study the dungeon with a magnifying glass so I could beat it 😂
First ever was #1, first one I beat was #11 though
I was around for 1, didn't play any until 5, and have only played 5 and 6.
expired
#2 for me
expired
If we're counting 3DS remakes, I'm a number 6. Otherwise, I guess I'd be a number 9 through the WiiU iirc.
1
I'm old 😒
#3, and it's still my favorite.
No phantom hourglass then?
I did not do the image myself, but it would seem not. Apparently, the OP didn't bother to add 5 of the 20 Zelda games... I didn't notice it because I mostly played the old Zelda games, but that's kinda bad... sorry about that.
Wasn't born until after 5 but still ended up going 1~15 in order oddly enough.
That being said, I never actually played Oracle of Seasons... just Ages, which was a hoot.
1! Although I was very young so 3 was the first one I ever actually completed (and is still one of the greatest games ever made, imo)
#4 for me, pretty sure i only played a few hours on a friend's dmg back in the day
4 > 1 > 5 > 7 > 8 > 3 > 14
LoZ4 is still my favorite, but the original and SNES ALttP are right behind it.
5! My uncle got me OoT for Christmas when I was a kid. He didn't know I wanted it, he just really liked it and thought he'd get me a cool video game, but I remember seeing the commercial for it on TV and wanting to play it really badly.
I played SO much of that game. I sucked at games as a kid (but I adored them) so I got it when I was probably ~7 and didn't beat it until I was probably ~15. lol And it was only thanks to help from friends. I have since beaten it multiple times, and I've beaten Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening (Switch remake), Four Swords, I 100%ed BotW + DLC, and I am well on my way to beating TotK. So I have improved at video games, thankfully. lol
#9 but as the remastered version on the WiiU.
#5, 6. Got both cartridges used for the 64 and both had the old save data on them. Didn't appreciate how much effort it takes to get all the masks in Majoras until much later since the previous owner got them all already and his save file was still present. Water temple in OoT is still goated as the worst temple in the game series.
- My friend('s step-father?) owned it, and I'd play it at her house any time I was over. I loved that shiny gold cartridge with the little green man and his shooty sword.
3, through an emulator. And about the others, I only played 12 and 13.
