This is one of those posts I want to downvote just because I'm angry I saw it.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

I wouldn't judge you for doing so

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago

This is good because you can pee on the floor and you don’t have to clean it up right???

(^~^) It's not real. I refuse to believe it.

Wrong community, there is nothing mild about this

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Mild, mold... just one letter, a tiny typo.

At least you can't tell the difference between carpet and shit.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I’d be more worried about pee.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

WTF is wrong with your folks 😂.

Haha we just rented a house last weekend that had carpet that not only went up the side of the tub but had about 6 inches of carpet on the top edge too. Deep pile stuff too, not as low as in OP's picture. Quite a sight to see in person

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

That makes my skin crawl

Ugggh.... the amount of mold eating the urine and poop particles is disgusting.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

I’d be too scared to pee standing up…

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I just audibly gasped. This seems like a sensory nightmare getting out of the shower, or during periods of high humidity.

Mold spores live it though!

That linked reddit thread is accusing the poster of being a karma bot. Does lemmy already have those?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

But there is no karma here?

I thought carpet in the bathroom was normal as a kid, since that's what we had in our house.

Is such a funny mix of "must be so retro" and "that carpet still looks new

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Omg, I can just imagine the gross sounds it would make when wet D:

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I wouldn't be surprised if there was carpet in the tub

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Oh man that's just awful 😆

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Not infuriating, that's straight up disgusting. Why would anyone do that???

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

This isn't just mildly infuriating, this is absolutely despicable

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Had carpet like that in England many years ago. Twp primary school boys and a bunch of their friends in the house - things got squelchy real quick

If they had the courage of their convictions they would've carpeted the inside of the tub too.
