The enterprise is a larger ship, it has 10x the crew as Voyager. 10x the size of a ship would be needed to house 10x the crew, which means 10x the computing space

Your theory has merit, considering the Binars were able to both run the holodeck and backup their entire species to Big D's computer.

However, the EMH was developed on Jupiter Station which is significantly larger than the Enterprise D and as such should have a ton of computing power. But maybe that was being used for other stuff, which is why he was so frustrated all the time.

It is 8 years older though. I dunno if Federation computer still follow Moore's law, but that makes Voyager more capable.

Moore's law is not a law, and is likely in end very soon in our life. Voyager also has other unique things such as a more capable warp drive. And much more dedicated systems such as the medical hologram, the enterprise doesn't have such bloat ware if you will.

BIO-NEURAL GEL PACKS BAYBEEEEEEEEE

Better keep the cheese away from them though.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah but does it have bio-neural gel packs? Noooope

The enterprise also does have a lot of dedicated systems that Voyager has like the medical hologram. While it isn't certain, Voyager might very well be a victim to bloatware.
