This is the lemmy.ml Star Trek community.

There are many other Star Trek communities around the Lemmyverse, and there is a Lemmy instance entirely dedicated to the subject (startrek.website).

Here are links to some of those other communities:

/c/[email protected]: Serious, in-depth Star Trek discussion

/c/[email protected]: Star Trek memes and shitposts

/c/[email protected]: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name ("post all the nonsense you want")

/c/[email protected]: These are the voyages of the Starship Lenin.

/c/[email protected]: General Star Trek news and discussion

/c/[email protected]: Another general-purpose community

/c/[email protected]: Off-topic chat

/c/[email protected]: Star Trek Online discussion, tips, and tricks

/c/[email protected]: For fans of the Greatest Generation and Greatest Trek podcasts

/c/[email protected]: Meme-ory Alpha, another meme community

/c/[email protected]: Star Trek Memes & Shitposts

/c/[email protected]: A community for all things Star Trek.

/c/star_[email protected]: A Star Trek community where you’re free share your opinions about all things Trek.

There is a new lemmy instance at startrek.website where people from /r/daystrominstitute and /r/risa are migrating. The communities currently there are:

I'm posting this here on [email protected] because, with >500 subscribers, it is/was the largest startrek community on lemmy by subscriber count prior to the presently ongoing influx of new users from rexxit.

You can hopefully click the relative links above to access these communities through whatever instance you're reading this on; if you get a 404 then you'll need to go to startrek.website and copypaste the link to each community into the search box on your home instance to cause it to federate them.

Sadly startrek.website is already blocking federation with lemmygrad, home of what has historically been imo the best (and largest by number of posts) trek-related lemmy community [email protected] (here is an absolute link, so people reading this from instances that block lemmygrad can see it). I hope the startrek.website admins will reconsider this block!

edit: here are some other lemmy-or-federated startrek communities from the comments here, and elsewhere:

If these are run by the mods or r/startrek then I'd rather steer clear. I'm much more comfortable being able to give my honest opinion without getting banned. For example, me disliking an episode of SNW is not grounds for banishment.
